Administrative Setup
The overall administrative control in running the scheme in the Sub Region rests with the Joint Director, ESIC, Vijayawada.
With a view to ensure effective administration by way of easy accessibility and early settlement of claims and grievances of employers and employees with reference to the activities connected with Insurance and benefits matters, the Branch Officers of the Sub Region excercise the powers delegated in this regard.

Implementation of the Scheme
The Scheme is implemented in 67 centers covering all the 9 districts in Sub Region. During 2008-09 , the Scheme has extended to 6 new centers in Vijayawada Sub Region viz.
The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has setup 2 medical boards for assessment of loss of earning capacity of Insured Persons due to employment injuries. They are functioning at Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam
Redressal of Public Grievances
ESIC Vijayawada has put in an effective mechanism for redressal of grievances. Shikayat Adalats are conducted regularly at Branch Office by Branch Managers and at Sub Regional Office by Joint Director Mr. RAJENDRA R PILLAY, ASSISTANT Director (Tel No : 0866 – 247 0464, Fax No : 0866 – 257 1880 ) is designated as Complaints Officer and complaints received are dealt with and disposed of on priority. The complaints are closely monitored.
